Brasha and Judaism

Brașă and Judaism

As a person of deep faith, Brașă has also done work writing within the Jewish Community as a Liturgist and Liturgical Poet.

Ritualwell, a community-driven ritual library operated by Reconstructing Judaism, has become the home of Several of Brașă’s poems and writings, including "Wherever there is Pride, there is Hope", "As I face my Plate", and other poems.

Some more recent additions include several poems written in the aftermath of the ongoing crisis in Israel and Palestine, with Brașă taking comfort in writing for the community.

Siddur Esa Enai - An Interpretive Siddur

Following the continued growth of Brașă‘s liturgical library, a new project was born.

With a combination of new liturgy, poems and prayer translations, 'Siddur Esa Enai' is a new prayerbook for people of all Jewish backgrounds, including those who may not believe in a specific higher power.

This book, which weaves traditional liturgy, and modern interpretations includes entire prayer services, for Shacharit, Michah, and Ma'ariv, as well as all major religious festivals, and for those in mourning.

While little of the book is true translations of the traditional liturgy, this book encompasses the broad scope of Jewish liturgy in a way that is easy to understand, connect with, and use on a daily basis.
